Video Intern

The video intern reports directly to the digital media editor and is responsible for producing short films to accompany stories published in the magazine and uploaded to www.urbanitebaltimore.com. These videos vary in length from one to three minutes. Past video interns have produced short videos on making the pickletini drink, living on a boat in the Inner Harbor, and biking around Baltimore.

Applicants should possess:

-own camera/video recording equipment
-necessary software, such as Final Cut Pro or something similar, to edit footage
-excellent interpersonal skills
-the ability to schedule times to meet with interviewees
-an independent willingness to find and pitch video shorts
-the ability to work on deadline without direct supervision

This job is done largely out of office, with periodic meetings between the digital media editor and/or the staff photographer to generate video ideas, sketch out storyboards, and look through raw footage.

Interested applicants should e-mail a resume and links to previous video work to Andrew Zaleski, digital media editor: andrew@urbanitebaltimore.com.

No phone calls please.
